Sprache kann interdisziplinär wirken. Sie greift auch in die Welt der bildenden Kunst ein, obgleich sie dort in einer eigenen Form zum Ausdruck kommt. Die Ausstellung Koroška unser ist eine anthropologische Annäherung an unsere Kärntner Geschichte. Eine Auseinandersetzung und Verbildlichung der sehr persönlichen Annäherungen unterschiedlicher Künstlerinnen und Künstler an das gemeinsame „Unser“ – „unser Kärnten / naša Koroška“. Eine Möglichkeit zum individuellen Ausdruck, zur persönlichen Sprache in einer gemeinsamen Geschichte.
Die Aufgabe, für diese Ausstellung je zehn bildende Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus den beiden Kärntner Sprachgruppen repräsentativ auszusuchen, ist durchaus komplex. Mögliche VertreterInnen der großartigen Kärntner Kunstlandschaft zu wählen, ist ob der vorhandenen Vielzahl anfangs leicht, fällt aber im Laufe der Auswahl immer schwerer, sind es ja viele, die hier ebenso hätten Platz finden müssen. Darum ist diese Ausstellung als ein Einblick in die Vielfalt von Kärntens KünstlerInnen zu verstehen. Es sind verschiedene Generationen und diverse Genres bildenden künstlerischen Ausdrucks vertreten, und doch gäbe es noch so viele mehr zu zeigen. Kärnten ist unendlich reich an Kunstschaffenden. Wir können stolz auf diese Vielfalt sein, bereichern so doch viele verschiedene künstlerische Sprachen unser Leben. Sprachen SPRECHEN wir – mindestens – zwei! Smo ponosni na to!

Razstava je nastajala na antološki način in z referiranjem na »našo« zgodovino. Predstavlja pa, kako se ukvarjati z vizualizacijo zelo osebnih umetniških pristopov do pojma »naše« – naše Koroške, unser Kärnten – in umetnikom in umetnicam hkrati dati možnost za individualno izražanje.
Reprezentativni izbor umetnic in umetnikov iz obeh koroških deželnih jezikovnih skupin, po deset iz vsake skupine, ni bil lahek, saj jih je na širšem območju koroške kulturne krajine mnogo več, kot jih v izboru lahko predstavimo. Zato je treba zastopanost umetnic in umetnikov v tem projektu razumeti kot vpogled v raznolikost. Zastopane so skoraj vse generacije in različni žanri s področja umetniškega izražanja, saj Koroško bogatijo številni likovni ustvarjalci_ke in ponosni smo na raznolikost, ko lahko svobodno govorimo več jezikov! Language can have an interdisciplinary effect. It also intervenes in the world of visual art, although it is expressed there in its own form. The exhibition Koroška unser is an anthropological approach to our Carinthian history. An examination and visualization of the very personal approaches of different artists to the common “ours” – “our Carinthia / naša Koroška”. An opportunity for individual expression, for personal language in a common history.
The task of selecting a representative selection of ten visual artists from each of the two Carinthian language groups for this exhibition is a complex one. Choosing possible representatives of Carinthia’s magnificent artistic landscape is easy at first due to the large number of artists, but becomes increasingly difficult as the selection process progresses, as there are many who should also have found a place here. This exhibition should therefore be seen as an insight into the diversity of Carinthia’s artists. Different generations and various genres of visual artistic expression are represented, and yet there are so many more to show. Carinthia is infinitely rich in artists. We can be proud of this diversity, as many different artistic languages enrich our lives. We SPEAK languages – at least two! Smo ponosni na to!

“naša Koroška – unser Kärnten”
k&k, Kultur und Kommunikationszentrum, St. Johann i. R. (2nd of July 2020)
*On July 2nd, the first event after the corona-related lockdown took place in the k & k center (Kulturni in komunikacijski center / Kultur & Kommunikationszentrum). The Carinthian Writers’ Association, the Association of Slovenian Writers in Austria and the Hermagoras/Mohorjeva publishing house invited in the occasion to the book presentation of the anthology “Unser Kärnten. Naša Koroška” (Our Carinthia), published as part of the state exhibition CarinthiJa 2020, with contributions from numerous German and Slovenian-speaking authors from Carinthia to the related exhibition curated by Tanja Prušnik.
